Community engagement is a cornerstone of Universidad San Sebastián’s identity, nurturing a culture of openness, connection, and integration with society. Our goal is to drive innovation by addressing regional challenges and ensuring the relevance of our educational mission. Through this commitment, we actively contribute to the sustainable development of Chile and its regions.

Universidad San Sebastián has four Clinical Simulation Hospitals, each covering more than 3,000 square meters and strategically located across our campuses in Santiago, Concepción, Valdivia, and Puerto Montt. These state-of-the-art facilities are designed to support complex medical training, including procedures such as orotracheal intubation for cardiorespiratory arrest and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

This 57-foot ‘floating’ classroom, designed by the renowned French shipyard Beneteau, accommodates up to 15 crew members. It primarily supports the academic training of students in Expedition and Ecotourism Management, providing hands-on experience in real sailing and exploration. Beyond education, the vessel also serves as a platform for research and community outreach, enabling scientific expeditions to remote and hard-to-reach areas, including hundreds of valuable and unexplored islands within Chilean territory.
